Lucknow: In a significant initiative aimed at encouraging young minds to become job creators rather than merely job seekers, Amity University Lucknow Campus organised a two-day ‘Entrepreneurship Sensitization Session and Launch of Young Spark 2026’. The programme was organised by the Amity Innovation Incubator (AII) and witnessed the participation of nearly 2,000 students from various institutions of the Lucknow Campus.
The two-day programme aimed to familiarise students with the opportunities in entrepreneurship, innovation, startup creation and incubation. The sessions provided students with insights into how a new idea can be developed into a practical business model and subsequently transformed into a successful enterprise.
The programme featured an interaction with Mr. Vijay Vir Singh, Senior Vice President, Amity Innovation Incubator (AII), and Mr. Sanyam Dhingra, Vice President, AII. The programme was organised under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Anil Vashisht, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University Lucknow Campus, and Wing Commander Dr. Anil Kumar Tiwari, Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor.
In addition to the student sessions, a special session was organised for faculty members and Heads of various departments of the Lucknow Campus. The session highlighted the important role of faculty members in nurturing an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset among students.
Addressing the gathering, Vijay Vir Singh, Senior Vice President, Amity Innovation Incubator, said that teachers play a crucial role in developing a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among students. He emphasised that teachers who are aware, sensitive and trained to understand the latest developments can provide the right direction to students’ ideas and offer effective mentorship. He further stated that entrepreneurs who create employment opportunities will play a leading role in the country’s journey towards becoming a developed nation, and there is a need for young entrepreneurs with an innovative mindset.
Wing Commander Dr. Anil Kumar Tiwari, Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor, said that Young Spark 2026 is an important step towards strengthening the startup and incubation ecosystem at Amity University Lucknow. He added that the initiative would provide students with a structured pathway to transform their ideas into viable enterprises rather than allowing them to remain merely as concepts.
The programme was coordinated by Ms. Rashmi Tripathi, Regional Faculty Leader, Amity Innovation Incubator, and Dr. Arun Bhadauria, Faculty Coordinator, E-Cell, Amity Business School. E-Cell Faculty Coordinators from various institutions extended their support in organising the programme.
With the launch of Young Spark 2026, the Amity Innovation Incubator has encouraged students to identify new ideas, transform them into innovations and develop them into impactful ventures. The initiative is expected to contribute significantly towards creating a strong and vibrant startup and innovation culture at Amity University Lucknow Campus.
